Friedemann returns to New York for the Fall for Dance Festival at New York City Center.
On September 30 and October 1, 2026, he will present the world premiere of ECHO:SOG, co-choreographed with Thomas Lempertz and set to the powerful and timeless music of J. S. Bach’s Chaconne.
“A musical core unfolds into an endless pull, an evolving echo that sets the body into motion. Through a reduction to the pure force of music, a space of infinite variations takes shape, where sound and body begin to merge. Bach’s Chaconne becomes a journey through human states, an inner landscape of longing, transformation and stillness.”
Friedemann looks forward to sharing this new work with New York audiences and to being part of one of the city’s most celebrated dance festivals.
