A masterpiece of reflection and interpretation, combining choreography, music, lighting design and direction to create a unique work…. A dazzling solo drawn with the breath, skin, bones, tendons, brain and heart, truly embodies the power and the beauty of the battle between man and robot.” Maria Luisa Buzzi, Editor in Chief, Danza & Danza Magazine

"Die Seele am Faden/Soul Threads" was honoured with two Danza & Danza Awards for its Italian premiere at the 2024 Spoleto Festival, including "Choreography/Performance" for Friedemann, and "Lighting Design" for Fabiana Piccioli.

Having worked closely together with the Rome Opera Ballet on Roland Petit’s La Chauvre Souris in 2016, Friedemann is looking forward to return to Rome as guest artist at the company again in May 2018, this time to perform Kenneth McMillan’s celebrated classic Manon with their Artistic Director and Paris Opera Ballet Étoile Eleonora Abbagnato. Whilst Friedemann and Eleonora have danced together before, this will be their first partnership for this beloved ballet tragedy. Friedemann will reprise his critically acclaimed role of Chevalier Des Grieux end of May at Teatro Costanzi in Rome.
