Friedemann is very much looking forward to returning to Tokyo for his seventh participation in the World Ballet Festival, which brings together many of the most internationally sought-after ballet stars on the same stage every three years. For this 2021 edition, Friedemann will be teaming up with his fellow Stuttgart Ballet étoile Elisa Badenes to dance a pas de deux from the classical repertoire and another from a contemporary production from 13th to 22nd August.

The “Alina Cojocaru Dream Project 2020” will bring Friedemann back to one of his favourite cities: Tokyo, where he will share the stage with other ballet stars from 5th to 9th February. Programme details will be announced closer to the time. Dates & tickets

Following his performance with Tokyo Ballet as guest artist in spring, Friedemann is thrilled to go back to Japan for the second time this year, for the World Ballet Festival in summer. This will be his sixth participation in the much anticipated triennial event, and Friedemann is looking forward to dancing with fellow ballet stars from around the world again from 1st to 15th August in Tokyo. Following his premiere in Sir Frederick Ashton’s The Dream with Sarasota Ballet in March , Friedemann will reprise his role as Oberon as guest artist with the Tokyo Ballet on 28 and 30 Apr at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. Friedemann has not performed in Tokyo since his last tour there in 2015 with Stuttgart Ballet, and is excited to be back in one of his favourite cities, as well as to collaborate with the Tokyo Ballet again.
